  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bunch green onions (scallions), chopped
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Soy sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, water, and salt until you achieve a smooth batter.
  2. Stir in the chopped green onions, ensuring they’re well-distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of vegetable oil.
  4. Once the oil is shimmering, pour half of the batter into the skillet, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crisp. Then flip it carefully to cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  7. Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, consider using almond or coconut flour. Customize by adding shrimp or vegetables for varied flavors.
